Cyrus H., 2023

“A great teacher! It was awesome getting back into studying Arabic and learning to speak the language better. I highly recommend her as an Arabic teacher.

Alexandria A., 2021-2022

“Rouane is an outstanding instructor with great range and versatility to advance a student’s speaking, listening, and reading skills.  She is very experienced, able to help me develop a range of vocabulary, in fusha and colloquial.  Rouane combines a patient approach with a willingness to push me toward setting and meeting goals.  She also makes good use of her technology, with reliable zoom calls and great use of videos and chat room to review words and phrases in which I’m having difficulty.  Finally, Ustatha [instructor] Rouane is kind, generous, and flexible with scheduling and telework needs, which is important during these crazy COVID times.

I highly recommend her for anyone wanting to develop or improve their Arabic skills.

S. Feinberg, 2020-2021

“Every student of a foreign language endeavors to take all the rules of grammar and vocabulary that he or she learns and translate that into the ability to speak and understand that language.  This is not always an easy feat, especially concerning a language as complex as Arabic.  Though I had been studying Arabic for several years prior to working with Ms. Itani, she was the only instructor who took my book knowledge and transferred it to spoken skills.  Ms. Itani, through her experience and dedication, provided an environment which encouraged me to knit together my book knowledge into an ability to speak and understand Arabic.  The Arabic language became alive through her instruction as I found myself discussing current affairs and political events!  I appreciated how Ms. Itani adapted her style of instruction to take me beyond the book and out of the learning plateau that I was in. Her style of instruction made my lessons so much more meaningful.  It is through this firsthand experience that I highly recommend Ms. Itani as a highly qualified language instructor.”

A.K.M.,  2018-2020

“Rouane is a remarkable Arabic instructor. She has mastery of both MSA and Levantine, but more importantly, she approaches instruction as a cooperative and interactive relationship with the student. I greatly enjoyed my Arabic studies with Rouane and I was able to bring my tailored lessons out of the classroom and into everyday life. I highly recommend Rouane as an Arabic instructor.”
