Aflama, LLC provides media consulting and language services to small businesses, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, independent media makers or individuals.

“Aflama” means her films in spoken Arabic.
In English “aflame” is afire, burning, ablaze, alight, on fire, in flames, blazing.
In Spanish and French, “una flama” and “une flame” is a flame.

PRINCIPAL’S BIO

Rouane Itani’s experience spans media production and outreach with a focus on educational videos and documentaries, in addition to subtitling and translation. Rouane got her debut as an independent documentary filmmaker with MADAME PARLIAMENTARIAN, a short film about women in Lebanese politics. Fluent in Arabic and French, she offers translation, instruction and subtitling services.

Rouane Itani served on the Board of Women in Film and Video in Washington, DC from 2006 to 2010 and Artivate from 2017 to 2018. She holds a Master’s degree in Film and Video Producing from American University in Washington, DC.

Mission Statement:
As a media producer, educator or language consultant, my role is to bridge communication gaps. Whether translating subtitles or assisting the production of bilingual media, I am using tools and talents to help people share stories with a commitment to socially and globally-conscious movements.
